Who we are

WorkTracked (“we”, “us”) makes the WorkTracked app for iPhone and Mac and runs worktracked.com. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and the choices you have. Questions: support@worktracked.com.

What we collect

Your account. Your email address and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the name they share with us. Sign-in is handled by Clerk, our sign-in provider. We never see your Apple or Google password.

What you put in the app. Clients (names, companies, emails, phone numbers, notes), projects, songs and other work, tasks, time you track, prices, payments, invoices, spending, receipt photos, your business details and logo, and your settings. This is your data. We store it so it’s on all your devices.

Contacts you choose to import. When you import from Contacts, the app reads only the people you pick (or the ones you allow) and turns them into clients. We don’t upload or store the rest of your address book.

Automatic tracking on Mac. If you turn it on, the Mac app looks at the app, file or web page in front, only to count time toward the work you linked. It reads this on your Mac. We store the links you create (a file, folder or web address), the time sessions that result and the app’s name. It ignores every app you haven’t chosen as a work app. This needs your permission in macOS Settings and can be turned off at any time.

Basic technical data. Like any website or online service, our servers receive your IP address and basic request details when the app syncs. Our hosting provider uses these briefly for security and to keep the service running.

We don’t use advertising or analytics tools, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.

How we use it

We don’t sell or rent your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Share links

When you share an invoice or a status page as a link, anyone who has that link can open that page without an account. Only what’s on that page is shown. You can turn a link off at any time from the app.

Who processes your data

We use a few trusted providers to run WorkTracked. They handle your data only to provide their service to us:

We may also share data if the law requires it, or with a company that takes over WorkTracked, which would keep this policy’s promises.

Where it’s stored and how it’s protected

Your data is stored in the United States. It’s encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our providers. Only you can see your data in the app. Every request is checked against your signed-in account.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while you have an account. To delete everything, open Settings → Delete Account in the app. This removes your account, everything you’ve entered, your receipt photos and logo from our servers right away. Copies in our providers’ backups are removed when those backups expire, usually within 30 days. Data that’s only on your device is removed when you sign out or delete the app.

Your choices and rights

You can see, change and delete your data in the app at any time. You can also email us to ask for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it. Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, the UK or California), you may have more rights under local law, such as the right to object or to complain to a regulator. We’ll honor these requests.

Children

WorkTracked is a tool for working professionals and isn’t meant for children under 13 (or the minimum age where you live). We don’t knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date above. If a change is significant, we’ll let you know in the app before it applies.
